Unlocking AI potential through a modern data architecture

Lack of a modern data architecture and mindset threatens to hold communications service providers (CSPs) back from fully exploiting the benefits of AI. In a new survey carried out by TM Forum, more than half of respondents said that while some data sharing happens across their organizations, significant barriers remain. Indeed, only two of our 87 respondents – the majority senior IT and network executives – characterized their company’s data as “fully democratized, with seamless access and integration across the entire organization”.

Lack of data accessibility and quality is a major roadblock to deploying AI at scale. As CSPs look to drive innovation, improve customer experience and reduce costs through automation, the ability to manage and leverage vast volumes of structured and unstructured data becomes mission critical.

Join TM Forum Chief Analyst Mark Newman, Contributing Editor Dawn Bushaus and Cloudera’s Anthony Behan to learn about the latest survey results. We’ll explore the following topics and more:

  • Why democratizing data is essential for AI success
  • The biggest challenges CSPs face in modernizing their data architectures
  • How companies like BT, Jio, Orange, Omantel, Telefónica, Telenor, Vodafone and Zayo are overcoming these hurdles
  • Why governance is key, and the cultural and organizational shifts required to treat data as a strategic asset
  • How TM Forum’s Data Architecture Project is helping operators modernize their approaches to data management.
