Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services are gaining a new lease of life as organizations look to compete on more than just price, aiming to deliver greater value and targeted customer experiences. Many are riding a new wave of innovative services underpinned by wholesale infrastructure providers.
Increasingly, non-telcos including retailers and financial organizations are launching MVNO-based brands and services and integrating them within the mobile apps their customers already have installed on their phones. To do so they are taking advantage of more sophisticated relationships with mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) and aggregator (MVNA) platform providers, integrating the mobile service as part of a truly convergent offering.
